Job Description Job Description PRIMAL IS GROWING — AND SO IS OUR TEAM!We are adding a second shift at our state-of-the-art Abilene facility to support the strong demand for our premium pet food productsJob SummaryThe Forklift Operator plays an important role in supporting daily warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for receiving, staging, transferring, storing, loading, and unloading raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods while following company safety, quality, and operational procedures.The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a cold warehouse environment.What You'll DoMaterial Handling & Warehouse Operations Receive raw materials, packaging materials, and work-in-progress (WIP) inventory from vendors and internal departmentsSafely move and stage materials in designated areas following company and QA proceduresLoad and unload trucks efficiently and safelyTransfer finished goods pallets to holding freezersReturn unused materials to appropriate departments or storage locationsAssist with sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking products as neededForklift & Equipment Operation Operate forklifts and other Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) safely and responsiblyPerform PIT inspections prior to useChange and charge forklift batteries as neededMaintain equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and organized conditionInventory & Quality Control Maintain accurate inventory counts and material trackingFollow company food safety, quality assurance, and operational proceduresSupport inventory accuracy and product quality standardsGeneral Support Maintain proper housekeeping throughout the shiftFollow all safety procedures and workplace policiesAssist with additional tasks and departmental needs as assignedQualificationsRequired Minimum 6 months of related training or experienceAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentagesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to safety and detailReliable attendance and punctuality requiredPreferred Previous forklift experiencePhysical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequently use hands and arms to handle materials and equipmentAbility to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally without assistanceAbility to lift/move over 50 lbs with assistanceComfortable working around moving mechanical equipmentAbility to work in cold environments and loud warehouse conditionsAttendance Requirement Must be punctual with strong and consistent attendanceCompensation$20.00 – $22.00 per hour Schedule2nd ShiftMonday – Friday3:00 PM – 11:30 PM⚠️ Candidates must be flexible and available to work daily overtime as needed.
