To provide assistance to the Maintenance Departments for the North and South Plants in the area of parts, inventory, parts procurement, and work order data collection.
Responsibilities
Track costs associated with parts used within work orders
Utilize and be proficient with SAP and/or related system
Organize parts cage, eliminating unnecessary components & procuring needed items
Maintain appropriate inventory of items used & restock supplies, as needed
Manage the purchase orders and procurement of parts via the Maintenance Parts Procurement personnel.
Respond to requestor and supplier inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations
Contact suppliers in order to expedite deliveries and resolve problems encountered such as shortages, missed or late deliveries
Track status of requisitions, purchase orders, vendor service calls & receiving documents
Maintain records of purchase orders & receiving documents to verify invoices for payment
Maintain manuals and reference materials for use in the maintenance department
Manage supplier performance including issue resolution such as settling damage claims, rejections, losses and return of materials or cancellations
Requirements
Technical or vocational degree in a related field is preferred and/or a combination of education and relevant experience.
1-3 years of related experience is required.
SAP experience is strongly preferred.
Must be proficient using computer applications, spreadsheets, e-mail.
