TITLE: Merchandiser STATUS: Non-exempt JOB# 2020

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Store Manager SUPERVISES: N/A

POSITION SUMMARY: Demonstrates Goodwill's Core Values through actions and behaviors. Responsible for stocking items in a presentable fashion.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience required

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
  • Must be able to follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to communicate appropriately with coworkers and customers
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform required duties
  • Must be able to safely handle, lift and carry items
  • Maneuver carts and containers filled with clothing and materials
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to stoop and bend
  • Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment. Employee must greet/acknowledge each customer, possess solid product knowledge and express genuine concern for customers and their needs. (E)
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance & store housekeeping. (E)
  • Assist in receiving/monitoring stock and processing/replenishing merchandise as necessary. (E)
  • Follow safety protocols at all times and especially when using equipment in the warehouse. (E)
  • Safely operate equipment which you have been properly trained to use. (E)
  • Operate efficiently and stay on task to meet or exceed established goals. (E)
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices including signage, pricing and loss prevention. (E)
  • Must be able to perform all aspects of the donation process, including receiving donations.
  • Communicate appropriately and positively with co-workers and others. (E)
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
