Job Details

Taylor County is seeking qualified applicants for Heavy Equipment Operator in Precinct 2. This employee will be involved in the construction and maintenance of county roads and bridges. To be qualified, applicants must have experience with all types of heavy road construction equipment as well as the ability to perform preventative maintenance. Qualified applicants must have a current Texas Commercial Driver's License. A high school diploma or G.E.D is preferred. A background check and a pre-employment drug screen are required.

Starting Salary: $58,832.25 annually + benefits

Benefits include : 100% county-paid employee medical and dental insurance, paid life and disability insurance, retirement, and paid vacation/sick time

Applications will be accepted in the Human Resources Office, 1st floor of the Taylor County Plaza Building, 400 Oak Street, Suite 120, until position is filled. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday and 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Friday.
