This position is responsible for assisting with the development and deployment of corporate information systems. This includes supervising IT staff, advising management on available resources, and translating management objectives into operational plans and policies. Responsible for designing, developing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting multi-user computer systems. This position must be able to perform office work; exercise discretion and independent judgment; provide regular/direct assistance to the executive; and perform work, special assignments, and tasks.

• Oversee IT operations and supervise systems and IT staff.

• Knowledgeable of IT procedures and methodologies.

• Monitors technology trends to evaluate emerging technologies for adoption and implementation.

• Obtain and maintain service contracts, computer parts, and supplies as necessary.

• Advises management in all areas of electronic communications and information resources.

• Translates management objectives into operating plans and procedures.

• Consult senior-level stakeholders across the organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology.

• Manage business and technical activities (e.g. application development, installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, routers, firewalls, workstations, and network equipment).

• Serves as Subject Matter Expert on all IT-related issues.

• Create, maintain, and implement Disaster Recovery (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).

• Provides and creates reports or data files from various systems within WTRC as required.

• Oversees support calls and ensures resolution of reported computer/software issues as needed.

• Provides assistance in the care and use of electronic office equipment.

• Manages the maintenance of company data archives.

• Responsible for the computer and network security plan for the organization.

• Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget.

• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

This position requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours and the ability to perform essential functions without posing a "direct threat" in the workplace. Must be able to lift 45 pounds.

Requirements

This position requires a College degree with CIS degree preferred, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of computer work experience is required. Previous supervision experience is required, along with the ability to design, develop, install and maintain information systems.
