Your Next Opportunity:


The Procurement Team Lead will manage a work group responsible for the procurement of engineered equipment, commodities, permanent plant materials, and small tools and supplies. This position is a working manager' role that will execute contractual obligations while providing oversight, support, and mentorship to Procurement Agents and Senior Procurement Agents.


What You'll Do:



  1. Monitor, evaluate, and mentor the team to meet or exceed performance goals.

  2. Ensure team compliance with procurement policies and documentation requirements.

  3. Oversee all aspects of procurement from pre-bid to closeout.

  4. Manage people and projects within the region, pursuing cost savings and process efficiencies.

  5. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations to staff.

  6. Support estimating by contacting suppliers for quotations.

  7. Represent the company in contracts and supplier policies.

  8. Negotiate terms with suppliers, consulting with legal and management as needed.

  9. Oversee the bid process via RFPs and RFQs.

  10. Evaluate and qualify suppliers.

  11. Lead sourcing events to drive procurement value.

  12. Collaborate on category strategy initiatives to increase margins and efficiency.

  13. Review metrics and engage with management to address deficiencies.

  14. Ensure awards adhere to decision models and policies.

  15. Maintain supplier relationships through SRM.

  16. Provide market feedback and ensure proper documentation and invoicing.

  17. Develop procurement analytics, reports, and policies.

  18. Oversee procurement and contract management processes.

  19. Manage material receipt, review, and documentation.


What You'll Need to Be Successful:



  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and construction industries.

  • Experience in procurement and accounting.

  • Effective delegation and supervision skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to mentor and supervise procurement staff.

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and other relevant tools.

  • Support for process improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.


What You Bring to Us:



  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Minimum of 5 years' electrical procurement experience.

  • Relevant education, training, and experience.


Travel:


Up to 10%


Working Conditions:
