The Haul Unit Operator safely operates a 40-50 ton off road haul truck to move material within the plant. May be responsible for hauling crushed stone from the pit to a primary crusher or movement of material and stockpiles within a plant. Other plant operation duties may be assigned. CDL License NOT required This position is a DAY shift position, based in Merkel, TX. Essential Responsibilities. Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturers instruction. Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories. Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment. Report needed repairs to supervision. Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements. Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment. Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
