Our culture prizes collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric solutions as we modernize the future of food procurement.Responsibilities:Strategy & RoadmapLead the creation and continuous evolution of the Foodbuy domain architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with Foodbuy's enterprise goals and priorities.Mentorship & GovernanceMentor junior architects and technical teams; enforce domain best practices, patterns, and standards.Technology EvaluationResearch, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., high transactional processing systems, big data platforms, container orchestration, AI/ML frameworks), assessing readiness and business impact.Sector CollaborationServe as the primary architect liaison for Foodbuy - ensuring domain consistency across projects.ModernizationLead the migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-enabled solutions, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with architecture standards.Cloud Topology DesignDesign and implement effective cloud-enabled topologies that optimize performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency across public, private, and hybrid environments.Enterprise Architecture CollaborationCollaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure adherence to architecture standards and practices.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.10+ years of architecture experience, including leadership of domain-level initiatives.Deep expertise in modern technologies (e.g., API architecture, cloud-native patterns, containerization, AI/ML).Demonstrated success managing large-scale architecture transformations.Hands-on technical ability to design, prototype, and implement domain-specific solutions.Demonstrates deep expertise in C#, Python, Angular, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, with experience applying these technologies in enterprise architecture initiatives.Preferred:Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.Track record rolling out microservices at enterprise scale.Professional certification(s) (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect).Apply to Compass Group today!Click Here To Learn More About The Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
