Position Summary

The Manager-In-Training (MIT) program lasts approximately 20 weeks, offering hands-on and computer-based training in managing dietary operations, leadership, policies, reporting, safety, communication, and resident interaction.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with safety and injury prevention focus.
  • Preferred associate's degree in food service management or related field.
  • Required food safety management and nutrition training, including CFP Food Protection Manager certification within 14 days.
  • Certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent as per law.
  • Achievement of FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days.
  • Experience in food service, supervision, and record-keeping preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, ability to work around food and cleaning products, and live in the service area.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, stand, sit, and perform routine tasks.
