Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalentor GED.2. Three years full-time, wage-earning correctional, commercial, orinstitutional laundry experience. Thirty semester hours from acollege or university accredited by an organization recognized by theCouncil for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the UnitedStates Department of Education (USDE) or equivalent technical ortrade school courses in the field of culinary, hotel, or restaurantmanagement may be substituted for one year of experience for amaximum substitution of two years.3. Two years full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or lawenforcement experience.4. Experience in the supervision of employees preferred.The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) willbe $4,949.38.As a condition of employment, this position is required to attendthe TDCJ Pre-service Training Academy and is required to completea physical agility test prior to beginning the academy.
