Location: Beaumont, TX

Work Location and Type: On-Site, Full-Time

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 base

About the Role:

As the Maintenance Manager in the Melt Shop, you will lead maintenance activities for all melting and casting equipment and related systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic). This role includes managing a team of 4 exempt supervisors, a process engineer, and 30 skilled maintenance staff, ensuring that equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime, and manage inventory for replacement parts.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all maintenance for the melt shop and supporting areas (e.g., baghouse, substation) is executed effectively
  • Leading and mentoring your team in safety, technical skills, and adherence to best practices
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues, initiating corrective actions, and implementing preventive maintenance


Required Skills:

  • 8-10 years of experience in heavy electrical and mechanical maintenance within a steel or metals production environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance in electric furnace melting and continuous casting operations


Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Team leadership experience with a focus on safety and operational efficiency
  • Hands-on experience with inventory and parts management
