Food Service Worker
Located in Abilene, TX on Dyess Air Force Base. Must be able to pass a background check for base access. Pay is $18.20 per hour, Schedule Sun 130p-4p, 430p-7p Mon off Tue 3p-4p,430p-7p Wed 3p-4p,430p-7p Thu off Fri off Sat 3p-4p, 430p-7p-PT-15.5hrs
Food Service Workers perform all cleaning, prep and restocking duties required to meet the standards of the Performance Work Statement.
1. Perform all sanitation tasks
2. Cleans dining rooms:
a. Cleans tables and chairs
b. Removes trays from tables
c. Restocks table condiments
d. Vacuum and sweep carpets, sweep and mop floors
3. Perform dishwashing duties:
a. Set up and tear down dishwasher
b. Unload busser carts
c. Pre-scrapes and stacks dishes
d. Pull, stack and ensure the cleanliness of dishes, place in racks for use on serving line
e. Ensures serving areas are properly stocked with service items for patrons
4. Perform line serving duties:
a. Perform temperature checks on all line products placed for service
b. Ensure cleanliness of line and surrounding areas to include floor during serving hours
c. Ensure product replenishment for the line, inform cooks on items prior to running out of product
d. Responsible for serving line maintenance as outlined in the Performance Work Statement
e. Responsible for cleaning standards as outlined in Performance Work Statement
5. Responsible for restocking fruits, salads, milks, juices, etc. prior to and during meal period
6. Responsible for kitchen area including:
a. Trash and garbage removal
b. Sweep/ mop kitchen area as required for maintaining standards in the PWS
c. Deep clean kitchen equipment, ovens and overhead hoods as outlined in PWS
7. Perform pots and pans duties to include:
a. Understanding of minimum temperatures for wash, rinse and sanitation water
b. Required minimum temperature of mechanical washing equipment
c. Proper drying and racking techniques to ensure complete drying of wares
8. Maintaining sanitation requirements of:
a. Pots and pans washing area including counters, sinks and machinery
b. Pots and pans storage racks, shelving and holding inserts used for utensil storage
9. Maintain outdoor areas to include:

a. Cleaning of back dock and stairs
b. Customer entrances to ensure safety and sanitation issues are maintained
c. Removal and cleaning of waste cans, bussing carts and portable holding units
d. Arrangement of outside storage items in a safe, clean and presentable manner
10. Professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy
11. Performs other job-related duties as required by the on duty supervisor
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: None required.
Experience: None required. Prior Food service experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Ability to meet basic requirements of the position as stated in the Performance Work Statement. Possess or learn basic knowledge of food handling
procedures, sanitation and personal hygiene standards. Ability to adapt to work changes. Must be able to understand and comprehend English. Able
and willing to follow simple instruction in job requirements and safety procedures. Able to perform simple tasks without constant supervision. Ability
to learn and utilize kitchen equipment as required in performing job tasking. Must be able to distinguish between food preparation items and chemicals
Licenses/Certificates:
Must be able to pass ServSafe Food Handler's test and maintain yearly. Must be able to pass a military background check and maintain an Air Force base
pass, background checks are handled by the Air Force and done annually.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Machine, Equipment, Tool
Skills: Vacuum cleaner, mop, mop buckets, broom, dishwashing equipment, serving line equipment and machinery, power sprayer, two-wheel dolly, meat slicers,
deep fat fryers, chemical dispensers, ovens, knives, portable holding units, warmer boxes, bussing carts, portable and standard shelving units, ladders.
