POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and fulfillment of the janitorial job assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Some experience required

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

• Must be able to follow verbal instructions
• Must communicate well with coworkers and customers
• Must be able to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently
• Maneuver janitorial equipment adequately and safely
• Must have good vision and use of hands
• Stooping and bending required
• Some weekend work required
• Must be dependable in terms of daily attendance and punctuality.
• Standing/walking for extended periods of time

• Must be willing and able to travel to locations in Abilene utilizing own vehicle (E)
• Basic janitorial duties to include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, trash collection, dusting, windows, etc. (E)
• Ensure equipment and supplies are stocked appropriately with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. (E)
• Responsible for operating and general maintenance of janitorial equipment (E)
• Available for evening hours and occasional weekends
• Communicate appropriately with coworkers and others
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
